Empty Bowls Floyd 2009 was held at the Jacksonville Center on March 29.  People lined up for the delicious choice of twenty-nine homemade gourmet soups then found family style seating with mounds of fresh-baked bread in the center of the table.

Are you kidding?  We get to choose a hand thrown pottery bowl to keep?  Over 450 bowls were donated by the dedicated and generous potters of our Blue Ridge region.  Everyone who bought a ticket chose a bowl to take home to remind us of hunger in our county.
