PLENTY!
- Community Garden-
Plenty's Community Garden began in 2010 and has been growing and changing ever since. It is a place for community members to express themselves creatively, share knowledge and friendship, support Plenty, and to just garden!

Gardeners are free to plant what they would like and are also provided, by Plenty, with a multitude of seeds and seedlings each season. Plenty also offers guidance on growing and pest management and a tool shed full of handy gardening implements. Stop by the office for more information on gardening in's-and-out's!

Sharing Knowledge and Donations are always welcome! Currently, for the community garden, we are seeking:

-Pallets for a compost bin (received June 2011, thanks)
-Materials for decorative borders (old plates, bottles, rocks, etc.)
-Materials for a fence to surround the garden and keep critters out
-News paper and mulch for plants and garden pathways

A few plots are still available for the 2011 season!  Each plot costs $5 and is roughly 10x 10 ft. Please contact plenty@swva.net if you are interested in signing up for a plot.

FLOYD COMMUNITY GARDEN GROWS!

All of the gardeners are working hard and are starting to see good results from their labor.  Go to floyd.mirocommunity.org to see the latest video of our work.

The Floyd Community Garden was profiled in the Floyd Press! See the article and pictures at http://www.looseleafnotes.com/wp/2010/09/enjoying-the-fruits-of-their-labor/.
